Intitulé du poste : 2017/09/13 – Postdoctoral position : « Development of a cell analysis algorithm for lens-free microscopy »
Type de structure : The Laboratory of Imaging and Acquisition Systems (LISA) at CEA Grenoble has an opening for setting up a cell analysis algorithm.
Contexte et mission : At CEA-Leti we have validated a video-lens-free microscopy platform by performing thousands of hours of real-time imaging observing varied cell types and culture conditions (e.g.: primary cells, human stem cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, 2D/3D cell culture, etc.). And we have developed different algorithms to study major cell functions, i.e. cell adhesion and spreading, cell division, cell division orientation, and cell death. In the frame of the current project, we will extend the analysis of the datasets produced by lens-free video microscopy by implementing a real-time cell tracking algorithm to follow every single cell and to plot different cell fate events as a function of time.
The postdoctoral scholar will be responsible for developing a cell tracking and cell segmentation algorithm and assess the novel microscopy technique in the realms of live cell culture imaging. To develop and assess this cell analysis software platform, the postdoctoral scholar will conduct three distinctive tasks. The first task is dedicated to the definition and the acquisition of a reference dataset. The second task will deal with the development of dedicated algorithms, namely a cell detection algorithm, a quantitative cell segmentation algorithm and a cell tracking and lineage algorithms. The last task deals with the exhaustive assessment of the methodology on different cell lines and experimental conditions.
